This modernisation of Research Primary School saw the construction of a new junior learning building, linked to the existing structure, which was refurbished to create a new administration and art building. The scope also involved extensive external works and landscaping, whereby stringent reinforcing methods of the existing gradient and structural crib walls across the site were required.
This project received the 2021 Award for Educational Architecture at the Australian Institute of Architects’ Victorian Architecture Awards. Further, received the 2021 Best School Project Between $5M-10M at the Victorian School Building Authority’s Victorian School Design Awards.
