This project comprises a three-stage redevelopment at Caulfield South Primary School, with new facilities being constructed within the heart of the campus, presenting tight access constraints and logistical challenges.
Stage one involves the demolition and refurbishment of existing facilities to accommodate new classrooms with breakout spaces. This stage also includes the decanting of two classrooms from existing relocatable buildings, which will be removed once students transition into the new learning spaces. Stage two consists of the construction of the new gymnasium and library building, along with associated landscaping works. The competition-grade gymnasium is designed to support both physical education and performing arts, incorporating a full-sized basketball court, a double-storey library, kitchen servery, music room, and changeroom facilities.
The final stage will see the construction of a new junior playground, commencing once the gymnasium and library are operational. This project will significantly enhance the school’s facilities, providing students with high-quality spaces that support physical education, creativity, performance, and collaborative learning, while carefully managing construction within a live school setting
